Agnitio Advisors recognizes that in order to make high value recommendations to an organization regarding their SAM program, first you need an apples to apples comparison of the current program, the IT environment and their future goals and objectives related to SAM. The best method to accomplish this is to do an assessment that includes a gap analysis of a SAM program prior to making any changes. TagVault.org moving SWID Tags into the SAM Ecosystem

agVault.org is a non-profit program that was formed under IEEE-ISTO.  This organization is providing tools, services and knowledge to the SAM ecosystem to help move ISO/IEC 19770-2 software tags into the market as quickly and efficiently as possible.  Software publishers are encouraged to start delivering certified software identification tags to their customers to minimize issues with incorrect software discovery processes and to lower the overall cost of the software supply chain for all organizations involved in the SAM ecosystem.
